The route is live. Complete product compliance and the solar-only scope are the details to check.

01

The legal change took effect on 27 August 2026. The government announcement and statutory instrument confirm a route for qualifying small solar devices in Great Britain.

02

The amendment depends on compliance with the final Interim Product Specification. It is not a green light for arbitrary microinverters, imported plug leads or battery systems.

What should you do?

Check the exact complete product and the route that applies to your home before buying or connecting anything.
